MemberVoice Data & Methodology

How MemberVoice Uses Sentiment Signals

MemberVoice helps professionals share structured feedback about their membership experiences.
Rather than publishing raw reviews or personal data, MemberVoice captures anonymised sentiment signals using the SATCEE model — helping organisations understand advocacy, trust, satisfaction, and retention risk more clearly.
This page explains what data exists within MemberVoice, how it is used, and what is — and is not — publicly shared.

What MemberVoice Collects

When a professional shares their voice, MemberVoice captures structured signals such as:

  • Sentiment position within the SATCEE scale
  • General themes or experience indicators
  • High-level membership context (for example career stage or experience type)
  • Organisation references linked to the feedback

These signals are designed to highlight patterns — not individual stories.

What Is Not Published

MemberVoice is not a traditional review platform.
To protect contributors and maintain fairness:

  • Raw identifiable submissions are not published
  • Personal contact information is never displayed publicly
  • Private context shared during submission is not exposed on organisation profiles
  • Individual responses are aggregated into structured sentiment indicators

The goal is clarity without sensationalism.

How the SATCEE Model Shapes the Data

MemberVoice uses the SATCEE framework — Superfan, Advocate, Trusting, Content, Eroding, Exiting — to classify sentiment consistently.
This approach allows:

  • organisations to understand movement across sentiment states
  • professionals to share experiences without needing to write lengthy public reviews
  • insight to be presented in a balanced, structured way

Learn more about the model on the How the Scale Works page.

How Data Appears on MemberVoice

The signals captured through MemberVoice are used to create:

  • Organisation Sentiment Profiles
  • Aggregated sentiment indicators
  • Structured insight designed to support transparency and informed choice

MemberVoice does not position itself as a ranking site or star-rating system. The emphasis is on signal, not score.

Access, Research & Future Use

As MemberVoice grows, anonymised aggregate insight may contribute to broader research into professional membership experiences and sector trends.
Where data is used beyond the platform:

  • it remains anonymised
  • it is presented at an aggregated level
  • it aligns with MemberVoice’s commitment to responsible use of member sentiment

Privacy & Responsibility

MemberVoice is built on the principle that professionals should be able to speak honestly without fear of exposure.
You can learn more about how information is handled in the Privacy Policy and Terms pages.
